Maroon 5 - Call and Response: The Remix Album
Maroon 5, art rockers? These remixes of the group's hits by indie acts like Of Montreal and Deerhoof make the idea seem oddly plausible. Maroon 5's bubblegummy pop — and Adam Levine's anodyne vocals — make the band ideal candidates for remix treatment, and they've corralled some impressive extreme makeovers: hip-pop (Swizz Beatz), Euro-dance (Bloodshy & Avant), crunk (David Banner), retro R&B (Mark Ronson).
