Weekly Recap: 7/5 – 7/11

News:
  1. Cobra Starship will release Hot Mess on August 11th check out the track listing below.
  2. Wale will release Attention: Deficit on September 22nd.
  3. Brand New will release And One Head Can Never Die on September 22nd.
  4. Sherwood announced at last night's show that their album was mastered yesterday, and is due out in October.
  5. Maroon 5 have entered the studio with Mutt Lange.
  6. The Foo Fighters debuted the new song, "Wheels," at a 4th of July concert on the White House lawn. The studio version is one of two new tracks the band recorded with Butch Vig for an as yet untitled collection due out in November.
  7. Relient K will release Forget and Not Slow Down on October 6th.
  8. Forever the Sickest Kids will be releasing three shorter albums of new material. These albums will have six songs on each and will be released over the next year. The first of these will be available this fall with the other two coming in winter and spring of 2010.
  9. Green Day will release the 21 Guns EP on July 13th with the new song "Favorite Son." You can take a listen here.

  1. Paramore's new song "Ignorance" can be heard here.
  2. Anchor and Braille have posted a new song, "Like Steps In A Dance", on their Myspace.
  3. VersaEmerge's acoustic performance of "The Hider" can been seen on purevolume.
  4. Four Year Strong have posted their cover of "Semi-Charmed Life" on their myspace. Explains It All hits stores on July 21st.
  5. Cheap Seats (which features ex-members of The Starting Line, Days Away, and Capitol Risk) have launched their myspace page; the band has posted 5 new songs on the page as well as a few videos.
  6. No, Really! has posted a new song, on their myspace, and blog on the status of the band right now.
  7. The Downtown Fiction has posted a new song from their forthcoming EP, which is titled Best I Never Had and was produced by Stacy Jones (American Hi-Fi, Plain White T's, Meg & Dia) and mixed by Paul Hager (Jonas Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, Miley Cyrus).
  8. The ! is definitely back. A new demo called "Oh Glory" can be heard on Panic! at the Disco's website.
  9. Yearling have posted their cover of Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" on their myspace.
